Denmark's heating and energy system is undergoing a green transition; away from fossil fuels and courage and system based on renewable energy sources (solar power, wind power, wave energy and geothermal, etc.). It´s not an easy conversion, and the conversion must be speeded up.

Over 60% of the Danish energy supply was based on fossil energy in 2019, and a large part of the rest of the energy supply was not sustainable biomass. Therefore, we need more wind, sun, wave and geothermal.

In this connection, several test experiments have been made in Denmark about how to exploit the energy of the waves. And a country like Denmark, it could be obvious to use the movement of the waves, the mass og the waves, to make energy. But it is not so straightforward, because waves are an enormous force, and the construction must be the same. And that will cost a lot of money to start up.

This project purpose is that students must have the correct professional knowledge, about the technology and be able to construct a model and can measure the energy of the waves and / or draw the energy out of the waves.

There are several different options and technologies when it comes to making wave energy.
